Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 8, 2026 (UTC)

COPPA Compliance: Call A Monster is designed for parents of children ages 2-10. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and protecting children's privacy.

1. Introduction

Apollo Street Company d/b/a Call A Monster ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Call A Monster mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

We minimize data collection, especially from children:

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. We may share information only:

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Protecting children's privacy is extremely important to us:

6. Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

7. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information. Recorded calls can play offline from audio bundled with the App. During normal use, the App queues the call results and any opted-in notes described in section 2 and sends them over HTTPS when a connection is available. Pending feedback is stored on the device and may be retried when the App is opened or becomes active. Purchases use Apple’s services.

8. Data Retention

The feedback service marks call results and shared notes to expire 365 days after the hour of the call. It is configured to delete expired records through a daily scheduled job, and expired records are excluded from the feedback dashboard. On the device, pending feedback and its revision history are pruned after 30 days. Resetting the feedback ID clears the local pending queue and creates a new ID; it does not delete results already received by the server. A shared note can be deleted from an individual result by the team. The service has no account or child-profile lookup for finding a family’s past results.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

10. California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold.

11. People in the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Brazil

Who is responsible. Apollo Street Company d/b/a Call A Monster is the controller of personal information we process for the App. You can contact us at privacy@callamonster.com. This section supplements the rest of this policy when the EU or UK GDPR, Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection, or Brazil’s LGPD applies.

What we use information for, and legal bases. Our legal bases under the EU/UK GDPR and the LGPD are:

Who receives information. Cloudflare hosts our feedback service and these legal pages as a service provider. A network request provides connection information, such as an IP address, to the hosting provider; our feedback database does not store IP addresses and application request logging is disabled. Apple handles purchases and its own rating and subscription-management screens. Email reaches us through the email services used to send and receive it. Superwall is not configured in version 1.3 and does not receive subscription details from the App. This version has no live Cartesia or AI token-service connection and no microphone or recording upload. Local child profiles and saved call setups are not part of the structured feedback payload.

Processing outside your country. We are a United States business and use US-based service providers; information may be processed in the United States and in other countries used by those providers. Our safeguard for transfers of European personal information to Cloudflare is its Data Processing Addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with their UK Addendum and Swiss adaptations. For Brazil, international transfers rely on standard contractual safeguards in our provider agreements. You can ask us for information about the applicable safeguards by emailing the privacy contact above.

How long information stays. Section 8 describes the 365-day feedback expiry and daily purge, the 30-day pruning of pending feedback, and what resetting the feedback ID does. Deleted feedback may remain in Cloudflare’s database recovery history for up to a further 30 days. Local profiles and saved setups remain on the device until changed or removed; the App keeps up to 25 local outcome records, including notes, until replaced. The 30-day queue rule is not a deletion rule for that local history. We keep support correspondence as needed to deal with your request and meet any applicable legal recordkeeping requirement. Apple and email services apply their own retention rules to the information they control.

Your rights. Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the law that applies, you may ask for confirmation of processing and access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and information about recipients. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. In Brazil, LGPD Article 18 also provides rights to anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary, excessive or unlawfully processed data; deletion of consent-based data subject to legal exceptions; information about sharing and the option to refuse consent and its consequences; and withdrawal of consent. You may contest processing without consent that does not comply with the LGPD. The App can still play its bundled calls when you do not share a note.

How to use your rights. Email privacy@callamonster.com and tell us what you want to do. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant record. Feedback uses random IDs and no account or child-profile lookup, so an email address alone may not identify your call results. We can consider information you choose to provide that helps us locate them; we do not require a new child account. While editing a note before sending it, you can clear or change its text. Once feedback is saved, this version has no separate in-app action to delete that saved note or a server result; email us to request removal of a shared note. Resetting the feedback ID in Settings clears feedback waiting to be sent and creates a new ID. It does not erase results already received by the server, saved calls or local notes. You can edit or remove a local child profile in the App; saved setups and local notes may contain separate copies. Requests for Apple-controlled information should also be directed to Apple. We respond under the deadlines and rules that apply to your request.

Complaints. You may contact the competent data-protection authority, including the authority in your EEA country, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or Brazil’s ANPD. Use the authority’s applicable complaint procedure; you do not waive your rights by contacting us.

Children. The App is operated by the parent and has no child account. Child names, ages and profile information used on the phone are not fields in the structured feedback payload. A free-text note or email can still contain personal or sensitive information, so please leave it out. Saved-name filtering does not make every note anonymous. The note-sharing choice does not create a child account or authorise collection of unnecessary child details.

12. International Users

We are based in the United States. The App may be used in other countries. The regional information in section 11 applies where the relevant law applies; this policy does not limit rights that cannot be waived under that law.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
